Beach Walks or Tackling the Receipt Monster?

Which one will your 2013 Summer be spent with?

With the Evenings getting lighter, and the Clocks going back, we have reached a brighter part of 2013.

The end of March 2013 is also the end of the financial year for Sole Traders. For many this triggers a sense of stomach ache with horrid images of piles of receipts and invoices, and a very boring and isolated week, let alone the time wasted that could have been spent on either earning or resting.

I do like this picture above: a lot; it sums up a few key things about my message:
The years are a given, but having them written into the sand, really gives you the thought:
-Would I rather have a walk on the beach with my family and write numbers in the sand for fun, or would I be sitting another 10 – 20 hours in the office, battling with the receipt piles?

For many, the true answer is obvious.
I mean I know the British Beaches can be a bit windy, but surely a much better place to spend your free time if you can.
But the next thought comes to the mind is:

‘It must be Very Expensive to hire a bookkeeper’

Now, I have a solution for you in store for both your fear about associating bookkeeping with those horrid images, and price tags, regardless how you wanted to carry on.
There are Affordable solutions on the market, today, that will enable you to keep control over your bookkeeping, whilst forgetting the 'receipt monster'.

In other words, you do not have to choose between doing it yourself or pass it on.
You can carry on doing the bits you enjoy, and getting rid of the bits that give you the stomach ache by even thinking of them.

We are all rather keen to handle our sales invoices, but bank reconciliation, and entering receipts seem to be a much less attractive picture.
With the help of the latest technology, tasks can be carried out in much shorter time,

Therefore making bookkeeping affordable

Also, forget all the receipts and piles of paperwork; the system is now accessible for you as well as your bookkeeper and accountant, so there is little need for regular meetings, whilst you are still kept in the loop and can see exactly WHAT have they been up to.

There are also numerous advantages to have your bookkeeping done on a monthly basis as opposed to just a tick box exercise for HMRC.
You get to know your tax much longer in advance before it is due to be paid, or have an estimate of it, before your financial year even ends, so you have greater control of how much your tax will come to.

Many Accountants do offer you a lower year end charge, if your books are prepared by a qualified & insured bookkeeper that talks their language, so you can ‘leave them to it’ to talk the jargon between each other.

Thanks for taking time to read my blog & I hope you've found it helpful.
